Preparing for your tour vacation:

♦ We have included Cancellation Protection   In 2021 and 2022, all our guests can book travel with confidence!  Our “peace of mind” Cancellation Protection plan [included on all flight and motorcoach tours now and throughout 2022] protects you in case of any emergency prior to departure (Click Here for more information).

♦ Pre-Tour Health and Safety Questionnaire  We require all travelers to complete a Health and Safety Questionnaire prior to departure. 

♦ Covid19 Vaccinations / Testing   As we navigate the changing landscape of requirements and protocols in travel, we are finding that many destinations, places, and businesses we visit have increasingly required that all visitors/customers be    vaccinated and/or have a negative test prior to visiting.  We find the need to simplify things for our guests, our employees, and travel partners to continue traveling without delays, cancellations or worry.  Moving forward, DIRECTIONS Tours guests must EITHER be Fully Vaccinated OR provide proof of a Negative COVID-19 rapid test result taken within 3 days of their tour departure date.  For our Unvaccinated Guests:  Rapid Testing can be done at many locations (pharmacies/Urgent Cares/ Medical Buildings) and now at many Rapid Testing drive through locations [call us if you need help finding a location].  Most Rapid Testing Sites are offering free tests and results, in addition, insurance plans (full or supplemental) and/or Medicare Part B plans will pay for your Rapid Testing.  If you are Fully Vaccinated, you do not need to test for Covid19 prior to your tour. 
Please note: Guests are required to bring their CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card or their Negative Covid19 Rapid Test result on their departure date in the event it is needed to be presented to any government or supplier requiring it during your tour.  Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Upon Departure and while on tour:

♦ Smaller Groups   We will continue to have smaller group tours now and throughout 2022.  Keeping our groups smaller will accommodate a healthier and safer environment onboard.  We will operate our new state-of-the-art motorcoaches and caravans with many empty seats onboard to ensure comfort and relaxation. 

♦ Social Distancing  We will continue to encourage travelers to respect social distancing guidelines along the way.
​♦ Guest Responsibility and Face Coverings  We also need your assistance and responsibility to maintain our commitment to a safe environment and successful tour vacation.  Your own health priority will ensure you and your fellow travel guests safety.  We ask that you adhere to our outlined health and safety protocols, including washing your hands frequently, wearing a face covering (when needed, mandated, or asked to do so), and using provided hand sanitizers throughout your tour.

♦ Transportation Cleaning  Our state-of-the-art motorcoaches offer the finest onboard amenities.  Our motorcoaches are professionally cleaned and disinfected prior to every departure (above and beyond the American Bus Association and Federal Transportation Administration guidelines) and disinfected inside at along the way by your Driver and Tour Director(s). *If your Tour Vacation includes Air Travel, our preferred airline is Southwest Airlines and will be used on most domestic air travel tours.  All airlines are also following strict health safety protocols and will be outlined prior to your departure.

♦ Clean Accommodations   All accommodations while on tour have been vetted by us for your safety.  Hotel protocols must include deep-cleaning, regular disinfecting and overall health and safety consciousness.  We are proud to continue our partnership with St. Louis-based and owned, Drury Hotels®.   Drury Hotels®  has been awarded 14 consecutive “Highest in Guest Satisfaction Among Upper Midscale Hotel Chains” by J.D. Power, and their cleanliness exceeds travelers’ expectations, now more than ever.  Drury Hotels® will always be our first hotel choice wherever possible.

♦ Attractions, Meals and Itinerary Protocols   Your tour destinations, attractions and inclusions have been carefully selected and added to your itinerary.  All destinations offered have been selected with your personal safety in mind (less crowded locations and less congregated places).  We want your tour vacation to be relaxed and stress-free.  Included Meals will be provided with/at restaurants that ensure/allow our guests seating for smaller groups.  In some areas, we will have meals catered to achieve our safety measures.

♦ DIRECTIONS Staff, Tour Directors and Resident Drivers  Your Tour Directors and Resident Drivers are fully vaccinated and following strict protocols for our guest’s health safety (and theirs).  All DIRECTIONS Tours employees are mandated to be vaccinated against Covid19 by our company travel liability insurance.
